Worship
What is Worship?
Worship is more than just singing—it’s our wholistic response to who God is and what He has done. It’s an expression of love, gratitude, and surrender, rooted in the truth of His Word. At The Well Church, we believe worship is both personal and communal, a time to glorify God together while drawing near to Him individually. Whether through music, prayer, reading, stillness, or testimony, our worship is centered on Jesus, led by the Holy Spirit, and shaped by the gospel.
The Ways We Worship
Music – Singing allows us to express our love for God with passion and unity.
Prayer – Having a conversation with God, spoken or silent, enables us to bring our praise, gratitude, and needs before Him.
Reading – Reading and reflecting on God’s Word, individually and collectively, helps us align our hearts with His truth and respond in faith.
Stillness –Taking time to pause, reflect, and listen allows us to be present with God and attentive to His voice in a noisy world.
Testimony – Sharing stories of God’s faithfulness glorifies God and strengthens our faith.
Our Worship Style
Our worship style can best be described as lyrically rich, deeply personal, simply excellent, intentionally spacious, and spiritually sensitive. This is applied to all of the ways we worship above.
-
We sing songs with rich, biblical lyrics that help us express deep truths about who God is and what He has done. Our goal is to go beyond catchy melodies and shallow words to appropriately lift up God.
-
We worship in a way that invites real, personal connection with God. Every song, prayer, reading, and testimony is an opportunity to respond to His love for us with sincerity and faith.
-
We pursue musical excellence with a heart of worship, valuing clarity and simplicity over complexity or busyness. Our goal is to draw attention to God, not to the music itself.
-
We make room for stillness, reflection, and the leading of the Holy Spirit. Worship isn’t rushed—it’s an invitation to slow down and truly engage with God.
-
We follow the leading of the Holy Spirit, allowing worship to be more than just a setlist. Every moment, sound, and word is an opportunity to honor and encounter God.
